My Paleo Zone Chili Recipe

I am a BIG fan of Chili in the winter. You can make a big batch and eat it throughout the week. But when it comes to Chili, all recipes aren’t created equal. And they certainly aren’t all appropriate for Paleo or Zone eaters.

That’s why I put together My Paleo Zone Chili recipe that is chock full of veggies, high-quality beef, and delicious chili spices.

Paleo Zone Chili


  • 3/4 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 1/4 cl. garlic, minced
  • 13 1/2 oz. beef, ground
  • 2 1/4 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 2/3 carrots, chopped
  • 27.5 oz. tomato sauce
  • 21.25 oz. diced tomatoes
  • 3/4 t. chili powder
  • 3/4 t. cumin
  • 3/4 t. oregano
  • 3 T. avocado


  1. Add onion, garlic and ground beef to stock pot and brown beef. Drain fat if needed.
  2. Add celery, carrots, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and spices.
  3. Add 1/8 cup water (per block).
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat & simmer 30-60 minutes.
  6. Serve with avocado. (Divide the recipe by 3)
